feel your breath—a slow, deep inhale—this is the foundation of life.
Taking the time to relax and renew the body can give you strength to overcome challenges and handle daily stress. When the body is relaxed, the mind will follow.
Massage and bodywork can help us regain awareness of the body, opening our eyes to the areas where tension is stored. Stress usually creeps in so slowly that our bodies find ways to compensate, hiding it in our neck, shoulders, and lower back. It may also cause trouble sleeping, resting, or relaxing. This tension can limit our physical movement and condition our thoughts into a tight, inflexible pattern.
Hectic schedules, mountains of must-dos, and busy daily routines can weigh our bodies down, constricting our thoughts and muscles. When stress drives our lives, it’s easy to slip into a pattern. Massage and bodywork can help bring attention to the areas of the body that hold on to those constrictions—usually they’re the areas that support us the most, allowing us to plow through and persevere.
As a massage therapist and life coach, I will assist you in discovering your mind-body partnership that is rooted in your own inner wisdom. There is already a knowing deep inside you telling where to go and which direction to follow, but sometimes it can be hard to listen to the subtle whispers and see the signs through the noise of an ordinary day. Working together, we can design exercises to help you connect with your core, explore movements that can help you release your stress and revive your energy for life.
